Company of Folk staff Lisa Rathje will be hosted by the Area Arts Roundtable and the McClean County Arts Center Saturday, September 14th at 1:00 PM to share information about the Master-Apprentice grant program of the Illinois Arts Council, in addition to other funding opportunities. This apprenticeship program is seeking applications from individuals for the 2014 Apprenticeships in Traditional and Ethnic Arts ($3,000). Come learn about the grant process, ask questions about your ideas, and get hands-on help with your grant application. The workshop will be held Saturday, Sept . 14 at 1:00 PM at the McLean County Arts Center (601 North East Street, Bloomington, IL 61701).
Bring examples of things you have made to show us at the workshop. Bring drums, costumes, or other parts of your performance traditions so that you can share 5 min performances. We can help you create a short, professional looking worksample that will be a part of your application.
