The award winning marimba artist Carlos Mejia appears in concert in Pullman on August 12, 2017 at 2 pm. Carlos will be joined by his gifted student, Jennifer Ortiz. They will perform and Carlos will also discuss his role as a Mayan tradition bearer, teacher, and political refugee.
The concert is part of Company of Folk’s “The Art of Work” series and is supported through grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Illinois Arts Council Agency, and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
