This Land is your Land: The Folksongs of Woody Guthrie Concert

Honoring a folksong writer legend, the Bishop Hill Heritage Association is hosting a free concert titled This Land is your Land: The Folksongs of Woody Guthrie. Bucky Halker, founder of Company of Folk and Chicago-based singer and guitarist, will perform the iconic and uplifting songs of Woody Guthrie (1912-1967). Furthermore, Bucky Halker will provide commentary on the historical context of each song. The folk concert will be brought to life on Friday, October 29 at 7 p.m. in the Dairy Building of Bishop Hill, IL (410 North Erickson Street). Afterward, there will be a question and answer session. Sponsored by the BHHA and the Illinois Humanities Council Road Scholar Speakers Bureau, this concert is open to the public.
